Barakoo Camp 2026 – Programs and Registration

Welcome to the 15th Barakoo Camp website!

Date: August 19.-23., 2026

We are pleased to announce that our camp will take place again in August 19 – 23, 2026. 

Our New location is „Három Kincs völgy„, another beautiful place we will fill with joy, music and liberated togerherness.

Nearly 30 performers, djembe, singing and dance workshops, evening concerts, sound baths, morning yoga and ving tsun, creative children’s programs, massage, and lots of joy around the campfire with professional djembe players.

If you can’t stay for the whole week, one-day and half-day tickets are also available!

Vibes of the past Camps:

In our camp, in addition to the family-like atmosphere, the filling power of music and Nature, we receive initiation from the unifying power of the music played jointly, which creates harmony both in one-self-only existence, be it the pulsation of the drums, the performance of our singing voices, the liberating flow of dance – all with the help of competent leaders. Meanwhile, people who want to play drums, sing and dance are enriched with new skills and new themes. It is about relaxed togetherness, joyful encounter, real recreation/connection, recalling the honest, friendly, close-to-nature atmosphere of the old little communities, bringing ourselves and each other into unity with ourselves and each other.

We light camp fire every night to play drums with leading drummers , and dance as long as we can handle it. "

CHILDREN’S WORKSHOP Every day from 9:30-11:30 to creative children’s workshop with Zsuzsanna Nyisalovits Mediated kids’ activity from the age of 5 is available while mother and father are attending a program!

Djembe repair and tuning: NumunKan aka Stewe, the best Hungarian expert of the djembe making and repair, to whom you will be able to improve your instrument, ask for advice or buy an instrument!

We reserve the right to change program.

PARTICIPATION FEES (tickets)

The prices do not include accommodation and meals, which can be compiled individually by everyone on the registration form.

Discount: participation fee up to the age of 25 is 50 percent, free of charge up to 7 years.

Weekly ticket: 250 euro
Daily ticket : 70 euro

Half-day ticket: 40 euro

Evening ticket: 17 euro (this includes the evening concert and the joyful music around the fire, with leading drummers)

HOW TO GET THERE

Getting There by Public Transportation:

Getting There by Long-Distance Bus (Most Convenient)
Direct long-distance buses depart from Budapest to Salgótarján every hour and stop near the valley.
Departure: Budapest, Stadion Bus Terminal.
Route: Express or long-distance buses bound for Salgótarján.
Drop-off point: Kisterenye, Ózdi Road junction bus stop.
Walking route: From the bus stop, cross Main Road 21, head toward the Szekér Fogadó / József Attila út, walk up the hill, and turn toward the Bükk Valley to reach the campsite. At the top of the hill, a sign points left toward the path leading downhill (about a 20-minute walk).
